The Sacred Giveaway

The sacred giveaway is offered without any recognition.  This is a continuation of the attitude of gratitude.  Once you make that shift in attitude, you are aware that the giveaway can be sacred, when it is for a higher good without harm or profit.

Many native tribes and those of good will have the giveaway.  The animal totem “turkey” is the essence of the giveaway or a gift.  Many saints and mystics embody the transcendent self of enlightenment, inspired to assist others because all life is sacred. 

The “pay it forward” movement is a version of the sacred giveaway.  Finding your coffee has been paid for by a stranger, is a wonderful simple gift.  Another one I love is leaving inspiring books or cards in places for people to find.

A more simplistic method of the sacred giveaway is when you do space clearing in your home, if it is not for you, you pass it on.  In a pass it on, it needs to still have value, and needs to either be given directly to someone you know will benefit, or through a non-for-profit organisation.
