What type of player are you?

Do you find it easier to lead or follow?  Do you find  it easier to work with a team, or do you prefer to do things alone??  Can you pass the ball, or do you like to keep it for yourself?

Do you play to your strengths or do you get dragged down by your weaknesses?  Know the type of player that you are.  Play to your strengths, and find ways to build on your weaknesses.

Do you play the role in your own script, or do you choose to play the game of life, or hide behind the masks worn to feel safe?  The movie “The man in the iron mask” is a wonderful metaphor for the masks worn in life, and the chain is broken with the words: “I wear the mask, it doesn’t wear me.”  This indicates consciousness, and where choice lays.

Knowing how you will react or respond in any situation is a life long learning journey.  Knowing the masks you wear.  Knowing your behavioural patterns, can assist you to know yourself.  Behavioural patterns are simply personas or archetypes.  Many are universal, and it is about understanding that for every behavioural pattern there will be a ripple effect or consequence.  Also depending the part you are playing, there will often be another that is playing a part in this universal pattern.  If you are aware you can choose how to respond.  If you are unaware, the normal response is to react, and often in a negative way.

If you need assistance to find ways to be aware, or ways to know yourself, then a individual coaching session may assist you.  Just ask.
