Celebration, Ceremony, Rituals and Symbols

In every celebration or ceremony there are rituals or symbols.

Think of a birthday celebration, often there is the ritual of best wishes, and often a cake with a candle.  There is the suggestion that the birthday cake can be tracked back to Roman times, and the candles could be Greek.

Engagements, Weddings, Anniversary, and Funerals, all are surrounded by some form of celebration, ceremony, rituals or symbols.  Often a ritual was started for a reason, but over time the reason changed and only the symbolism remains.

Today, if you are planning any event, it is often what has been handed down to you with your culture or family; or indeed what is individually important to you.

When you are planning your celebration, think about what is important to you and those involved.  Is it about family and friends, or is it more personal and private?

If you are planning a Wedding, you will also need to consider the legal requirements.  The most current information will be on the government website.  From September 2015, I am no longer a Civil Marriage Celebrant.

If you are seeking the words or a poem that is just for you, I am happy to assist you.  To write specialised words or poetry is done at an hourly rate.
