Staying Centred

What does staying centred mean to you?

To me, it is staying in your own truth, your own authentic self, no matter what is happening around you.  This is a skill, that occurs more easily as you release your triggers.  A trigger is something that occurs that creates a reaction within you, and most commonly it will be a negative reaction.

Simple steps to staying centred:

1. Clear your clutter – this means physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

2. Have a quiet time for you – meditation, prayer or being in nature are great examples.

3. Breathe.  If you are breathing deeply it is easier to remain centred.  If you hold your breath, or shallow breathe, you are more likely to be shifted in a negative way.

4. Once you have created that clear centre within, it is your holding point, your stability.

5.  Stay grounded, you are the rock, the mountain, the tree, stable, secure and firm.

6.  Healthy boundaries are essential.  Know what is yours, and what is another’s.  You can only work with your own stuff, and then radiate your calm centre.  You need permission if you are to assist another.

7.  Deal with your life moment to moment.  Be gentle on yourself.
