Mudras

Sharon has used mudras since early in the 1990, she teaches them in some yoga classes. What is a mudra? In yoga mudras can take different formats, however the most well used, look like a hand gestures, but they are much more. Hand mudras can be: The connection of the hands to the lines of energy in the body which connect to certain areas of the brain, like a reflex zone that is associated with body parts and brain function; or a symbolic lock, or a seal, connection of the mirco and macro; or the connection and alignment of mind, body and spirit.

The chin mudra of the index and thumb connecting is a classic that assists with deeper breath, and connects the divine to the human form. This is often seen used as a generic gesture for many in meditation. There are many and varied, some are used with affirmation. They are simple tools to assist the individual in any moment.  If you would like to enjoy the benefits, just ask for a class.
