Group work guidelines

Every Group has a intention and a purpose.  In teaching there are always objectives to achieve, so that each receive a competent understanding of what is being taught.

When Sharon commences “Group” work, she ensures that there are guidelines, that everyone agrees upon.

If it is a “startup” group – then the guidelines from the beginning are set. Eg. Confidentially, Respect, Everyone speaks, everyone listens.

Building trust is a step by step process, and rebuilding often requires healing and a willingness to forgive.  Each group work session will have a reason and purpose, and there will be times this will need to be reset and refocused – What is my intent of the group work session?  What is the groups intention?   What are the individuals intent?  Are they congruent?

Sharon always checks that the bigger picture is being served.  Sometimes there will be a need to split the group, for those receiving the information quicker then others, and those needing targeted attention.  If this occurs, its purpose is to bring everyone onto the same page, at the rate that is right for them.

Reflective processes allow  it to be a natural process, and learning will occur for all.

If you would like to be a part of group themed sessions, just ask Sharon.
