Enlighten yourself – Sharon’s experience in Sedona CYL 2012

Through a series of synchronistic events, I found myself attending my first Celebrate your life (CYL) conference in Sedona, Arizona.  My intent was to experience a spiritual journey, soak in the atmosphere, while reconnecting physically with past teachers, Denise Linn from nineteen years ago, and Doreen Virtue from three years ago.

The evening opening ceremony was spectacular.  It was perfect with a male, Uqualla from a tribe based at the Grand Canyon, and the female, Denise Linn of Cherokee descent.  The drumming moved through me with the native words from both male and female washing over me, as tears rolled down my cheeks, so moving, so uplifting.  I didn’t wish to speak at the end as I sat in the energy of the ceremony.  For me, I could hear, see and feel the ancestors and knew we were one, but also individual.  It was a heart to heart moment where you see each from a spiritual level.  Words cannot explain the depth or the beauty, it just is.

The first session was “Life Visioning” with Michael Bernard and Rickie Byars Beckwith.  I had never seen this couple “live” before and had only caught a little of Michael’s show on Hay House Radio.  Michael is one of the most inspirational speakers I have ever heard.  When he gets into a rhythm it is so fast paced but the energy of what he has to say is so uplifting.  He sometimes sounds like Martin Luther King.  Rickie compliments him with her uplifting songs of praise and empowerment He encourages all to ask empowering questions.  At the end of the session I was extremely uplifted and on a high.

After lunch the second speaker was Neale Donald Walsch with his new book “The only thing that matters” with his wife Em.  He engaged the audience through humour and interaction, with the profoundly simple yet powerful messages, that were designed to reignite your understanding of who, where, why you are and what you intent to do.  Neale’s wife Em, had beautiful poetry which she read, so beautifully, and for me personally I found the poetry soothing to the soul.

The third speaker was a choice between “Meditation” with Sarah McLean and “Past Life journeys through the vortex” with Denise Linn.  Of course I went to see Denise Linn, and set my intention that I would receive all I needed from this experience.  She spoke of intention, not letting your judgment get in the way of results.  We worked in groups of six, to access information for our intention, and then we looked at each for their gifts.  The energy was high and full on.  We each were lead to speak of what we saw, hear, felt and knew about the group we were in.  It was incredible for me to watch the colourful auric fields, and to see the faces before me change into different lives and abilities.  It was more incredible then to hear each person share what they experienced and saw in each individual.  My intention was fulfilled I did experience all I needed in this connection.

On the second day our first speaker of the day was Sonia Choquette and her daughter, with the delightful topic “Reclaim your authentic spirit”.  I had never met her before, but had read a couple of her books.  Sonia is an alchemist, who changes the frequency, so you can move from five sensory to six sensory.  She is amazingly animated, as she gives you tools for your toolkit.  We did some exercises with the tools in the group as a whole, and then we did a one-on-one process of the Diver and the container, which was an incredible liberating experience to express your inner most heartfelt fears.  Then we did some more group work, and at the end of the experience you were lift extremely energised and uplifted.

The next experience was a choice experience which was divided into multiple choices.  I was accepted for a hike with Doreen to the vortex, however when we got there it was actually a walk in nature with the fairies.  It was a magical experience, where we started as a group, and we received some fairy food to go play.  My experience took me on an incredible journey that then turned into a quest.  I heard music, and felt amazing energy and within my mind’s eye experienced visions.  I was also physically challenged as I “went off with the fairies”, with moments of feeling lost and asking the fairies for direction.  I keep on being lead up the path, and there were several moments of magic beauty with such connection to nature and a space beyond.  I also felt I connected to a past part of myself as a Native American warrior to be able to have the stamina to complete the journey.  When I returned I found renewed energy, running and leaping all the way.  I had been walking for 3hrs.

The last session of the day was a choice of “Invoking the Archangels” with Sunny Dawn Johnston, and “Seeing into the Body – developing the eyes of a medical intuitive” with Caroline Sutherland.  I didn’t know either author, and had decided that I would like to be with Caroline.   We did an intuitive reading on another person, and as I had just walked in, I just went with how I normally work.  Caroline gave us a tool of the pulse test to check for sensitivity to foods. Then she gave us a meditation to scan the body of a friend.  I enjoyed the short time I had with Caroline.

The last day of the conference began with “The Angels of Empowerment” with Doreen Virtue and her fiancé Michael Robinson who gave messages and angel readings.  My interpretations of those messages were: be authentic; speak your truth; be mindful of what you do with yourself (in all ways) and your environment, ask your angels for help or when you can, speak with God.  We did a meditation to assist the planet, animals, plant and humanity.  It was a thought provoking session with the angels of empowerment.

Our final speaker Iyania Vanzant talked on the topic “Putting your intention into action”.  She is so authentic, she takes you of a journey of letting go.  She tells stories from her own life as experience of the principles and not to get caught in the drama of life.  She challenges you to know what principle you are learning.  It was inspiring, uplifting and left you with a smile on your face.

The closing ceremony was equally moving for me, with Denise Linn saying words in her ancestral native tongue, and some words from Uqualla who couldn’t be physically present, but was with us in spirit.  I was so moved I had tears rolling down my cheeks, again.   Again I was left without words.

It was an amazing experience, which I would encourage others to participate in a Celebrate your Life conference.  It was a mixture of inspirational, thought provoking, mystical, fun, laughter and magic, that left you illuminated within mind, body and soul.  It was such a blessing and I am grateful to all the authors and to Liz Dawn, Mishka Productions, her amazing support staff and volunteers present at the Enchantment Resort, Sedona.
